2s Back Battling at Peffermill

After two away games, EUWAFC's 2 team were back at the Peffermill against Glasgow 1st. It was going to be a tight game which turned out in a 2:2 draw. The first half started off with both sides pushing into each others boxes. However, it was Isabelle Limberger who got served by Meg Gower and shot her second goal for the team. Shortly before the halftime, it was Kirsty Wilson who snapped the ball in the net after a messy round of shots in Glasgow's box.

Back on the pitch, Glasgow's team was pushing for a goal. Great defending from Edinburghs squad could not stop Glasgow taking the chance of a freekick outside of the box. They crossed it into the box resulting in heading the ball into the net. Most of the second half was concentrated in the middle with not many chances on either ends. Just in the last minutes, Glasgow got another standard into the box where it got messy and ending in another goal. It was a tight game and the girls worked really hard to keep Glasgow away from the box. Giving away the 2:0 lead is very disappointing, but the next fixture will be in a few weeks, playing Glasgow again and hopefully securing the 3 points this time.
