THE SECOND TEAM COMPETES IN THE BUCS SCOTTISH 1A

Our 
Story

Founded in 2013, the University of Edinburgh 2nd team has worked up the leagues and now competes in the Scottish division 1A - the top division in Scotland.

​

The second team looks to keep their run of good form going into the 2024/25 season, competing against the first team.

​

Coach Gordan Megson looks forward to welcoming new players during welcome week.​

Being part of the 2s and the club has been my favourite part of my uni experience- i've made all my closest friends here and i've loved captaining such a great group of girls for the last year!"

The 2s had a successful 2023/24 season, with key victories ensuring they remained in Scottish League 1A for a fifth consecutive season.

2023/24 Season

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • The 2015/16 season saw them facing new challenges in a harder league facing new opponents. This didn't faze them however as they finished the season completely unbeaten and only drawing 2 games, sealing the Division 2A title comfortably in their first season in the league.  

​

  • Edinburgh 2nd Team also went on to win the Conference Cup Final - securing the historic double that season.

​

  • The 19/20 season saw the 2nd team finish third in the league securing their place once again in the Scottish 1A.

 

  • The 19/20 season was tough for the 2nd team, but they faced the challenge and secured some impressive wins in the Scottish 1A.
