Our
Story
About...
The Edinburgh University Women's Football Club 1st team have continually dominated Scottish University Football for over 25 years. The first team have had continued success since 1993 when EUWAFC was first founded.
Heading into the 2023/24 season our 1st team will be competing in the Scottish premiership, with the goal to gain promotion back to the BUCS Northern Premiership.

ACHIEVEMENTS
BUCS SCOTTISH AND SSS CUP CHAMPIONS
The 2018/19 season saw the EUWAFC 1st team complete a magnificent double as they became BUCS Scottish League and Scottish Student Sport Cup Champions.
PROMOTION
Our First Team won the Alex Currie Award for Most Inspirational Performance of the Year 2018/19 by beating Stirling in the SSS Cup Final and Nottingham Trent in the BUCS Northern PREM Playoffs.

ACCESS TO PERFORMANCE GYM
1st Team players have access to the 'Sport and Exercise' performance gym. We have a designated and focussed programme that enables us to perform at the highest possible standard. You will have guidance from professional strength and conditioning coaches to maximise your potential. There are multiple sessions per week to allow for busy schedules during your time here at Edinburgh!

UEFA A LICENSE COACHES
Our 1st Team coach George Andronikos is equipped with a UEFA A license coaching badge. George provides the squad with in-depth knowledge and great tactical know-how to help us get the results week in week out. George is a fantastic coach and cannot wait to meet the incoming players for the 2023/24 season

PEFFERMILL
Peffermill playing fields is our home. Covering a mighty 2.7 hectare of land, Peffermill provides us with our home pitches and facilities. We train twice a week on 3G2, with games being played on Wednesdays, either on 3G2 or the stadium pitch. Sport and Exercise at Edinburgh provides a great quality service to our club to help us realise and achieve our goals as a team
