2nd Team Unlucky Against St Andrews

Both teams went into the game on pretty even terms having both lost 2-0 to EUWAFC 1st Team in the last couple weeks, and the game had all the markings of an even affair. The teams started the game very evenly as expected and neither team had any clear cut chances in the first half. They came in at half time with the score 0-0 and everything to play for.

Team talks must have played a part, however, as the second half was far more eventful. Shortly after the whistle went again, St Andrews went ahead after a scramble in the box which saw their forward tap it in from right beside the goal line. There were shouts for offside from the sidelines but the goal stood. 10 minutes later Edinburgh equalised from a corner as the ball found Kirsty Wilson at the back post who smashed it into the roof of the net. However, only minutes later, St Andrews went ahead again through a very similar goal to their first which again aroused offside calls but the referee again let it stand and as such the game finished 2-1 to St Andrews.
